Artist's Comments

There was a time I called this Roland Deschain of Gilead, though after finishing the fantastic Dark Tower series, I no longer see him this way. (an excuse to resculpt him) I gave this piece to my brother [link] for xmas.

Needless to say now, but this is my initial interpretation of the Gunslinger after reading up to the Drawing of the Three. The likeness was loosely based on Lance Henriksen.

First hack at a realistic sculpture. Super Sculpey over two months. Just the first of many steps in learning this exciting field. He was done at 1/6th scale.

plenty more pictures to come.

I've checked out all you've posted of this... and my goodness... it's just stellar. It looks as professional as anything I've seen. The coloring is of equal quality. I'm going to suggest this for a daily feature because this, and the rest of your work, needs to be seen. Simply amazing work Trev.

I appriciate it, man. Although, all I can do is look to all the possibilities up ahead, I'm glad that some enjoyment can be taken from this piece. There is a lot to learn, and a lot of nice things to create. pleasure to be a part of it all.

thanks again for your kind words and acknowledgement

I'm at a complete loss to tell you how amazing I find this. I'm awed by the sheer amount of detail you put into this, and more so because I have very little conception of the media (though it certainly looks intriguing)

I can see the resemblance in who you partialy based it on, and I think it's an interesting person to choose to modle Roland after. Unexpected maybe, but he has a good look and it works.

This really does his character justice which is about the best compliment I can think to give. He's such a hard character to invision for me and you seem to ahve pegged him here.

All of this is so incredible..the sheer detail you put into this piece is mind-boggling. I love looking at it, the structure, the idea, the design, the realism, the colors and details in the painting, everything. The intricacies impress me endlessly
