Anyone who knows me knows I'm a huge fan of the work of Tom Waits; I find constant inspiration in his explorations. This is something that's been in my head for years now, (since I saw Waits perform live back in 2008) and I finally was able to get most of it out. Not all that I hoped or dreamed, but there's nothing new there. :)

This is one of the first larger piece I've done, so it was mostly an experiment. I Sculpted him in WED Clay, and it stands about 18" tall. It's REALLY fun to sculpt in a rougher style.

Thanks for looking!

Tom Waits From Mortal Clay 12 by *trev-solo Suggester says: "...from all angles it is quite striking and very lifelike but also captures the rather gritty dreamlike quality that Tom Waits exudes as an artist." Very fine work. ( Suggested by *ChrisCrowell and Featured by `LabyrinthCreations )

Trevor, It's great to see you work larger, looser and more in the "fine art" arena. Great expression! I just know you had LOTs of fun with this one.

Thanks so much, Mark! It means a lot from you!!
I think like all of us, I'd be much happier doing more 'fine art' stuff day in and day out. :) If only time allowed for it.
Thanks again!
